The first sight of baby is definitely a moment of joy. But, incidentally I have come to realize that, there are few other occasions when a mother is truly delighted.
Last night I was speaking to an old friend after long time. Her baby is 6 months old. All that we chatted was baby centric. We spoke about her baby’s progress, habits, resemblance and common illness. When it came to illness, on the top of the chart was cold and cough followed by constipation. The case was the same with by baby. We both agreed that apple is the best medicine for constipation. And surprisingly, we reacted in the same manner when our baby passed stool after long wait of nearly 3 to 4 days. The sight of potty was so overwhelming, a sign of relief – it got smile on face and made us dial numbers, eagerly wanting to give breaking news to our husband. “Our baby has finally passed stool” – we declared.
Relief, joy, excitement all at the same time – Moment of Joy.
